Works as advertised. Its NOT cruise control! Small adjustments are needed ro maintain speeds going up or down hills.
Positives - it easy to install. It's so nice being able to remove your hand while cruising to rest it a moment, adjust a buckle, etc. Quick fix when bike is dropped. Negatives - there is a technique I'm still trying to perfect to engage/ disengage (not super easy to use). It requires a millimeter gap during installation thus reducing the rigidity of the hand guards, when you drop your bike on that side, you have to grab an Allen key in the field to loosen and readjust. Why on earth can't I get the cruise control from the 1290 super adventure? I don't even need true cruise control, an electronic throttle lock would be just fine. Electronic is much easier than a mechanical device, especially on a bike already prepped for electronic cruise control.
I was a little skeptical at first mounting this thing thinking to myself $140 for this crazy, but once you to get on the road and use it well worth the money!
Much smoother throttle response
