This is what KTM should have installed to begin with. First, the OEM halogens suck. If you plan on riding at night or get caught out riding in the evening, ditch the OEM and get these NOW.
One of the difficulties of fitting LED lights into a housing designed for incandescent is the beam pattern. Many LEDs Simply don’t work well as OEM replacements. The Cyclopes lights do. On low beam it throws a nice wide pattern. The real eye opener is when you flip it to high beam. The beam projects a nice hot spot down the road. It also throws light well to the sides, well enough you should be able to detect eyes along the roadside.
I haven’t used them off-road yet, but I speculate that with high beam one, you will have no trouble navigating.
Overall, this is the single best upgrade I have made. They increase my safety during day and night and for the first time in my riding life I am able to see at night without issue.
