This is a rubber SUB mount stabilizer kit to help reduce vibration to the hands and it mounts to the stock triple clamp. Sub mount comes assembled with medium compound bushings and additional soft compound bushings are included. The kit includes everything you need to make the installation easy and quick. This kit raises the handlebars 38mm and moves them forward 13mm, a position we found to be very popular for 1190 Adventure and R models.
"SUB" mount stands for Stabilizer Under Bars, originally designed for raising the bars. These kits are designed for use with Oversize bars. "Bar reducers" are available as an option, to convert the kit to standard diameter bars, should that be desired. This concept allows more room for other equipment such as, Global Positioning Systems(GPS) or Enduro/Rally computers and yet still retain the quick access for adjusting the stabilizer. This is also good for the taller rider who wants his bars a little higher, as it raises the bar location approximately 11-25mm, depending on the model of bike.
Each SUB mount comes complete with all necessary parts, hardware and "Step by Step" pictured instructions.

I have had my eye on the product for a while and chose to go with KTM Twins because they were cheaper. They were cheaper because they did not charge me tax. However, I ordered the item on a Friday early in the morning but it did not ship until Monday. When it did ship it took UPS 8 days to get it to Kansas only after it was transferred to the USPS in KC. The install went easily until I had to reinstall the plastic fairing on top of the gas tank. The instructions eluded to the work required to reinstall but I believe it was grossly misunderstood. I had to bend, push and finagle the fairing on. It will only be a matter of time when the fairing breaks because it has been taken off and reinstalled for misc reasons. I firmly believe the bottom mount could and should be re-engineered to solve the problem. Once installed I have enjoyed the product immensely on the road as I have not had a chance to do much offroading.
