United StatesThe *stock* 701 headlight has a pretty good pattern & spread, which I personally find more than enough. I purchased the ultra version of the bulb to address 3 minor things: get rid of the yellowish hue, keep both "beams" when on high and have "instant on-off" when signaling. Unfortunately, the beam pattern became very bad, with blind spots and irregular shape. The main issue appears to be a darker spot in the center (sides are ok). Furthermore, the reach of the high beam wasn't as good as on the halogen - not enough light and not that far away. On the plus side, glare was minimal and not bothering other drivers. Small thing I noticed (don't know if it's by design or not): when turning on high beam, main beam leds do stay on but dim slightly. I am very disapointed from the product and have already removed it after 1 night ride of about 100km. I will be sourcing a "white-ish" halogen bulb at 1/4th of the price. Being a previous customer of cyclops on my 1190, where it was a great improvement over stock, I expected _way_ more. PS: Yes, the orientation of the bulb was correct and height adjusted. PS2: I'll do a comparative video of stock & cyclops - search in youtube.
Hi Kathy! Really appreciate the feedback on the issues! We normally like Cyclops a lot and some of us use their 10.0 bulbs on our bikes too! This will get passed on to them for reference!
Fit perfectly in my ‘17 Husky Enduro. Light output is great - but still not enough for a trail ride, in my opinion. The beam just doesn’t throw enough down trail. Still 10x better over stock bulb.
