Solid skid plate, but challenging to install

I have yet to take it to the test of the Mojave Desert, but from what I can tell it's solid. The plate is very difficult to install, almost observe. Took a long time. I'm dreading having to do an oil change. With that said, I believe it will stay put for the duration of owning the bike.
