    Thermostat switch

Let’s my KTM run cooler, which is always good, especially on hot days with slow technical trails. Yes, the fan runs more often and will often start even after the engine has been off for a bit, but that doesn’t bother me. My engine temp has never exceeded 7 bars since installing. I’m pleased.

    Reduced Heat

I purchased this chasing an overheating issue just in case and had this swapped in. My temperature sensor was faulty but now this is installed after the fix, the bike temp is being maintained around the Midway point on the temp gauge. Was definitely worth it since it gets hot here in Okinawa.

Big waste of money, turns on and never off

Yes, it turns on a bit earlier than the stock switch. But like others have said, it NEVER TURNS OFF. To be precise, it turns off when the engine has cooled down to about hand-warm, one line on the dash. Means when you’re riding, your fan is always on, constantly. I used to have a switch made by Trailtech on another 690 and that one worked perfectly. But this one here is garbage. Took it out after one ride and put the stock switch back in.
