This guard is meant to protect the swing arm from a natural wear section. If you ride with boots this part of the swing arm may encounter some rub marks. The decal kit is made of a thick plastic sticker. The only downside to this product is the application. The stickers are not as pliable due to the thickness which is needed for a high traffic area. It just takes a little of working out air bubbles and some patience.
